Kristin Jones is an architect, educator, and researcher. She is President and founder of Studio Integra, Ltd., with a focus on residential, educational, healthcare, and adaptive-reuse projects. A registered architect in the U.S., she holds a Ph.D. and B.Arch. from the Illinois Institute of Technology, where she has taught architecture since 2006. Her research explores modern architecture and urban resiliency as well as architectural education, the legacy of Mies van der Rohe at IIT, and intersections between research and practice. Her work has been recognized with the 2026 Making Waves Award and multiple historic preservation awards from the Village of Oak Park. Zaida Garcia-Requejo is an architect and Associate Professor at the University of A Coruña, where she has taught since 2016. Her research focuses on modern architecture, architectural education, and the relationships between teaching, research, and practice. Her doctoral research examined Mies van der Rohe's architecture and teaching at the Illinois Institute of Technology. She has conducted research at IIT and the Canadian Centre for Architecture and collaborated with the Mies van der Rohe Society on research and exhibitions at Crown Hall. Her curatorial work also includes SIZA, presented at the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation in Lisbon in 2024.
