Valeriia Ivanova is a Senior Fellow at the German Marshall Fund of the United States' Strategic Democracy Initiatives, based in Kyiv. Her research focuses on Ukraine's postwar recovery, governance reform, and anti-corruption efforts. Before joining GMF, she served as Deputy Head of the State Agency for Restoration and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine, where she worked on transparency and anti-corruption policy in the execution of wartime infrastructure projects. She previously held senior positions at Ukraine's National Agency on Corruption Prevention and built an earlier career in investigative journalism, including investigations into official corruption for one of Ukraine's leading independent outlets. For Unbreakable Kherson, she led the project on the GMF side and conducted all field interviews in Kherson.
