This collection of sermons is the result of nearly two decades of bi-vocational ministry. Serving as both pastor and full-time worker presents unique challenges. The responsibilities of hospital visits, counseling, funerals, weddings, administrative duties, and sermon preparation, often while maintaining secular employment-can be demanding and, at times, overwhelming.
This volume was prepared as a practical resource for ministers who faithfully labor in similar circumstances. These sermons were preached to real congregations facing real struggles. They are grounded in Scripture and centered on the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Organized by seasonal and special-occasion messages, beginning with Resurrection Sunday sermons and concluding with Christmas messages, each sermon is structured to be biblically grounded, doctrinally clear, easily adaptable, and suitable for pulpit delivery.
The sermons are written from a conservative evangelical perspective and affirm the sinfulness of mankind, the substitutionary atonement of Jesus Christ, His bodily resurrection, salvation by grace through faith, and the necessity of personal repentance and belief.
Topics include:
Resurrection Sunday / Easter messages
Why Jesus had to die and rise again (3-part series)
Mother's Day sermons
