Even undercover, some lines should not be crossedFor seventy years, the town of Fairfield has stood in the shadow of its nuclear plant. Every family has had a member employed there, and many died young. A local chapter of CND has been protesting the plant for years with little success, but with enough noise to interest the Metropolitan Police. Undercover police officer Jonathan Pierce has been assigned to infiltrate the group. As 'Jonno Cartwright' he starts a relationship with member Maggie, his way into the more militant inner circle. But what starts as just a job, an identity he puts on between snatched visits to his wife and children, becomes more complicated. As he begins to fall for Maggie and learn what the plant has been hiding, Jonathan isn't sure he's on the right side, or whether his superiors care about the truth. But even if he reveals his true identity, is there any way to save his relationship with Maggie? Or are some betrayals too deep to forgive?
