At first glance Old Testament ritual law seems strange to modern readers of the Bible and they might not even see the point of interpreting ritual law. Nonetheless, interpreting ritual law can be extremely worthwhile. Jesus and the authors of the New Testament found a wealth of meaning in Old Testament ritual law. The question is "How can ritual law be interpreted?" In A Pleasing Aroma: A Guide for the interpretation of Old Testament Ritual Law I introduce Old Testament ritual law, provide a simple approach for interpreting ritual law, and model this approach by applying it to Old Testament passages that contain ritual law.
