James L. Thomas is a graduate of Youngstown State University in Ohio, where he earned degrees in both Advertising and Public Relations and Business Education. A U.S. Army veteran, he served as a military journalist after completing training at the Department of Defense School of Journalism. His professional writing experience spans positions as a reporter and photographer for the Niles Daily Times and as a public relations writer for Nancy Childress Public Relations in Youngstown, Ohio. His work has taken him from military bases steeped in history to encounter with sports legends, entertainers, and, unknowingly, a serial killer. This memoir marks his first full=length book, chronicling an extraordinary life shaped by love, war, journalism, and a chilling brush with darkness.
