Lina AbiRafeh, PhD is one of the world's foremost women's rights experts. An Arab-American feminist activist, author, and academic with over three decades of frontline experience, she works on gender justice where it's most dangerous to be a woman. Meaning: everywhere. She fought to end violence against women in emergencies with United Nations agencies and others across more than 20 countries, from Afghanistan to Haiti to Papua New Guinea. For nearly a decade, she led the Arab Institute for Women at the Lebanese American University. Lina is the founder of Better4Women, her advisory service combining speaking, writing, and advocacy for global women's rights.
