W. Thomas "Tommy" McQueeney, a native of Charleston, has authored twenty-three books, primarily in biography, while also exploring history, fiction, humor, and sports. His writing often reflects his deep connection to Charleston. A distinguished graduate of Bishop England High School and The Citadel, McQueeney has received numerous accolades, including the Order of the Palmetto. He has actively contributed to the Charleston community through various boards and initiatives, including the Medal of Honor Bowl and the Shawn Jenkins MUSC Children's Hospital. He resides in Mount Pleasant with his wife, Amanda, and their family.
