The Twelve Dates of Christmas

Margaret Chen, a successful thirty-one-year-old marketing executive, is pressured by her ninety-two-year-old grandmother, Ba Ba, to marry and continue the family line. Despite her professional achievements, Margaret feels the weight of her grandmother's disapproval and the family's expectations. Having experienced disappointing past relationships due to fundamental incompatibilities, Margaret is wary of settling. In response to Margaret's perceived lack of romantic progress, Ba Ba devises a plan for twelve blind dates over twelve months, believing her extensive life experience holds the key to finding Margaret a suitable partner. Margaret reluctantly agrees, though she suspects her grandmother's methods are flawed.

Unbeknownst to Margaret, Ba Ba enlists her tech-savvy neighbor, Jonathan Kessler, a software engineer, to meticulously organize and vet these dates. Jonathan, initially a detached observer, begins to develop an idealized image of Margaret based on the extensive data he gathers and analyzes about her preferences and personality.
