Santanu Manna
is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics at the Indian Institute of Technology Indore, where he has been serving since 2019. He earned his Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from IIT (ISM) Dhanbad in 2015. He pursued postdoctoral research at the IISER Kolkata and was subsequently awarded the prestigious Newton International Fellowship by the Royal Society, joining Keele University, United Kingdom, as a Postdoctoral Fellow. With over 50 publications in reputed journals and editorial responsibilities for top-tier platforms such as Elsevier and Springer, including conference volumes, He has made significant contributions to his field. His core research areas include mathematical modelling on wave propagation, solid mechanics, porous media, integral transforms, geomechanics, and thin-walled structures. He has successfully led six externally funded research projects and supervised six Ph.D. scholars, three of whom have already been awarded their degrees. In addition to collaborating extensively with researchers from the UK, the USA, Italy, Russia, Greece, France, Germany, and Switzerland, he also actively participates in international research projects. He has also served as the convener of more than ten national and international academic events, reflecting his leadership and sustained commitment to academic excellence.
Sandeep Chaudhary
is Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering, and Dean of Administration at the IIT Indore. A Ph.D. from the IIT Delhi, and with more than 26 years of his career, he has served as an academician, a researcher and an industry expert in sustainable construction practices, including upcycling of wastes, development of building materials and their assessment, and structural analysis and design. His group conducts analytical and experimental studies, ranging from materials' microstructural behaviour to sustainable building products. With more than 100 papers published in SCI/SCI(E) journals and supervision of 14 Ph.D. students, he has been in multidisciplinary and international collaborative research to develop sustainable global solutions. He has been the principal investigator of multiple funded research projects with universities from Russia, UK, China, Hong Kong, France, Thailand and Tunisia.
Vinay Kumar Gupta
is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics, IIT Indore. Before joining IIT Indore as an Assistant Professor in 2019, he was a Post-Doc on the Commonwealth Rutherford Fellowship at the Mathematics Institute, University of Warwick, UK, from 2018 to 2019. He served the Department of Mathematics, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai, India as Assistant Professor, from 2016 to 2018. Earlier, he was a Post-Doc at the Max Planck Institute for Dynamics and Self-Organization, Göttingen, Germany, in 2016. He earned his Ph.D. degree from the Department of Mathematics, RWTH Aachen University, Germany, in 2015, and M.S. (Engineering) degree from the Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research, Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, in 2011. He also earned his M.Sc. (Applied Mathematics) degree from IIT Roorkee, in 2007. His current research interests include kinetic theory of molecular and granular gases, applied mathematics and numerical methods.
