Halloween. The thinning of the veil when ghosts can come back and walk the earth. For Theresa, so close to a year sober, the ghosts of her past are everywhere.
Dublin in October, the city alive with fire-coloured leaves. Theresa is close to a year sober. She is attending meetings and has a great support network. She enjoys her job and the banter with the customers. Most importantly as long as she stays sober her seven-year-old son will soon be back in her care.
Things can change.
It was just an innocent suggestion to one of her customers, advising him to go for a walk to help him sleep. On the walk, he is killed by a drunk driver. Theresa is overwrought with guilt. Her guilt is made worse when she is continuously harassed by a woman accusing her of murder.
