It has been months since Vai and Edam disappeared through the portal created by the Fusion World Machine. Unfortunately, the last known Dark Orb, the critical component to interdenominational travel, was destroyed, leaving them trapped. Luckily, a prototype, invented by Iota Corps member Charles Vindia, is discovered inside of the Rafian Archives. Vint SawWood, Vindia's apprentice, is pressed into service and can perfect the device, but the technology and research is decades old and may be a one way ticket. There is no way to know.
Undaunted, Sajaelar Molaes and Siren lead a mission to find a rescue their missing teammates. What they discover is a world in the midst of a civil war. A demon has rallied an army of disaffected citizens to his cause and will stop at nothing until he subjugates the island. To make matters worse, Siren becomes gravely ill. Visting this old world of mythical foes and allies has triggered something within her, and she must face the trials in order to survive.
With the war boiling over, the team at odds, and Siren on death's door, can Sajaelar, Edam, Vai, Marissia, and a new band of Philanthropists save the world and each other?
