Jack is an ordinary teenage boy. Mary is anything but ordinary. Fate ties them together briefly in a biology classroom. A new beginning of their education, and the end of their innocence. The strings that tie us together can give comfort or pain, depending on the direction of the pull. Untying fate is often easier than we want it to be. Mary is only briefly diverted from her chosen path. Jack's path is changed forever.
