This is the first book of a trilogy. In this book the earth is frail and diminished. The suns power is reduced by the effect of an evil sorceror and lord. The book follows the path of a monk, a healer and a child, each of whom carry an amulet which when joined form the medallion which will give the healer the power to restore the suns majesty and thereby heal the earth.The book also follows the relationship which develops between the three and how these relationships must be sacrificed in order to fulfil the goal of healing the earth
