The morin khuur is a musical instrument with mythical origins and symbol of the Mongolian people. This tale recounts how a magical white horse and a blossoming apricot tree on the grasslands of Mongolia led to its creation.
Baoerji Yuanye is a writer of Mongolian descent from China. He is vice president of Liaoning Writer's Association and Distinguished Professor of Chifeng College. He has received many writing awards, including the Lu Xun Literature Prize, the Junma Literary Award for Ethnic Minority Writers, and the Inner Mongolia Literature and Arts Special Contribution Prize & Golden Medal. He was also awarded a Mongolian horse. His novel, The Bravest, was adapted into a movie in 2019.
