José Luis Alonso de Santos has filled the better part of the history of theatre in the last quarter of the century. His time with Teatro Estudio de Madrid (TEM) introduced Spain to new techniques of interpretation, that awakened a vocation to which he has given himself professionally. He has been adapting popular plays since 1975. One of his acheivements: offering a vision of a slightly better society through comedy and intelligent humor, without playing down and running away from judgemental and dogmatic language that is determined to show a monolithic perspective of reality.
