Legends says that in the dawn of time, Prometheus created two beings. First were the humans, and he gave them fire. The Vis hunt for sustenance, the humans for survival. Then humans dominated the planet with their superior number and weapons of mass destruction. With 250 million Viscerebus against seven billion humans, the balance of power became disproportionate.

To survive, the Viscerebus allowed their existence to fade into the annals of myths, legends and folklore. And the humans stopped hunting the beings they believed do not exist. For centuries, the Viscerebus lived hidden in plain sight among human societies.
