MARY MUELLER grew up on a dairy farm in Wisconsin. She is a writer, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Silver Lake College in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. She is also an avid volunteer with Brethren Disaster Ministries and served for 4 years in Louisiana following Hurricane Katrina.
