The Tiara of Thann This is the story of Varla, who,as a baby princess, is saved from death at the hands of her evil aunt who wants to become the queen of Thann. Varla is saved by a mysterious wizard. Accompanied by her nurse and a pair of guards she is hidden away far to the North near the small village of Koontifney, where she grows into a beautiful young woman with unusual powers and a love for the woods. She can speak with many small and large forest creatures, this talent aids her as she leaves her beloved home and foster parents and travels to the capital of Thann. On her adventure she is accompanied by one of the guards, a large wolf and a prince of the Little Folk who has a blown up image of his worth. There are Little People, Fairies, Members of an Ancient race, mental telepathy, magic, battles and the development of talents and character as the story develops, and a surprise ending.
