Stay in touch with your animal loving friends by writing them a note inside these rural-themed greeting cards by New England illustrator extraordinaire, Andrea Wisnewski.
A handwritten note, on good paper and contained in a classy envelope, says something about the sender and is more welcomed, absorbed, and remembered than an e-mail. Each box of these greeting cards is packed with twelve cards and matching envelopes.
The outside of each card features one of six different animals from the farm and wild (each image is repeated twice). There are Barred Rock chickens (outside a bright red coop), a black bear and cubs amongst a field of blueberries, a horned ram beside a hay field, a brown and gray goat, a rabbit running through wildflowers, and a sly fox who muat be up to something.
The inside of each card is blank and ready for your message.
Andrea Wisnewski is also the author of Trio: The Tale of a Three-Legged Cat, Little Red Riding Hood, and Little Old Farm Folk-all published by Godine. Trio was named one of the best picture books of the year by Kirkus Reviews and, of Little Old Farm Folk, Publishers Weekly called it, "A charmingly old-fashioned trip to the farm."
