Wie lässt sich das Flüchtige topographieren? Ein aufschlussreicher Band über die Bestimmung des Vergänglichen und des sich ständig Verwandelnden in Tanz, Kunst, Kultur und Philosophie.
Ever since modernity, the elusive and the ephemeral are important topics in the arts and in philosophy. Especially dance is often described as the most elusive of all art forms. But how can the elusive be charted, if it seems to keep eluding us as an object? To what extent does the (kin-)aesthetic experience of the elusive correspond to an elusiveness of aesthetic experience? This volume addresses these (a-)topographies of the elusive. Contributions from dance, theater, film, and media studies discuss questions about the elusiveness of dance as well as those elusive spatial processes which are created through choreographic procedures of arranging in different contexts - such as in exhibitions, architectures, and social contexts.
