George A. Jansen, M.D., FACA graduated from UCLA Medical Center School of Medicine and received training in surgery and anesthesiology at his alma mater and at Yale University Medical Center. He is board certified in anesthesiology and is a Fellow of the American College of College of Anesthesiologists. His practice was divided between clinical medicine and the training of medical students and postgraduate physicians. He also became board eligible in emergency medicine while on active duty with the US Air Force, and served as a State Faculty Instructor in Advanced Trauma Life Support for the American College of Surgeons from 1984 through 2008 . He has held appointments as Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology at the University of Virginia Medical School, Clinical Associate Professor of Internal Medicine at the College of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (Newark), and Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery (Anesthesiology) at Rutgers. He has authored a number of peer-reviewed articles for medical journals, and has written several chapters on sports injuries in a popular text on baseball pitching. Currently, he adjudicates allegations of physical disability.
